A Day in the Life (Japanese: ブレイド司令の一日, Bureido Shirei no Ichinichi, Blade Command's Daily Life) is an Affinity Mission in Xenoblade Chronicles X. It can be received from the BLADE Barracks in New Los Angeles. The mission largely consists of the party learning about Vandham's daily routine as BLADE Commander.

Objectives

1. "Head to Barista Court in the morning."
   • This must be completed between 7:00 and 12:00.
2. "Head to the hangar during the afternoon."
   • This must be completed between 12:00 and 17:00.
3. "Get a blue electrical tentacle from placid duoguills or others in Primordia."
4. "Talk to Cedric at the Hangar in the administrative district."
5. "Gather info in the administrative district on the commander's nighttime place of work."
6. "Investigate the BLADE Tower door at night"
7. "Defeat the sailing grex in Primordia's Biahno Grassland."
8. "Return to BLADE Tower and report to Commander Vandham."

Results

"Commander Vandham certainly keeps New LA running. But the poor guy really needs a vacation..."

Notes

• A Blue Electrical Tentacle can be obtained without fighting Duoguills by exchanging Squad tickets.
• It is not necessary to defeat the Fighter Grexes that accompany the Sailing Grex.
• Info for the fifth objective appeared just to the south of the elevator to the upper Administrative District from a female BLADE in Division Drive, confirmed present between 15:00 and 20:00.
