A Tragic Decision (悲壮な決意) is an Event Track in Xenoblade Chronicles, composed and arranged by ACE+. It is track 3 of disc 2 from the Xenoblade Original Soundtrack. This music is a dark, sad theme that is heard in the cutscene when Face Nemesis fights back against Egil in Yaldabaoth, causing the bottom of Galahad Fortress to collapse and send the party down to the Fallen Arm; it also plays after the first battle against Egil when he summons Yaldabaoth to help him in battle against the party in Agniratha. This theme serves as the battle theme in this same fight against Yaldabaoth, then later when Fiora/Meyneth battle Zanza in the Mechonis Core, and also against Frenzied Bana during Bana the Betrayer (which makes this the only instance in the game of a theme other than You Will Know Our Names playing in a Unique Monster battle).
In Future Connected, this song plays during the battles against Gael'gar, as well as during the battle against Diabolical Bana during The Future Within Our Grasp.
