Affinity is a game mechanic in Xenoblade Chronicles 3 and Future Redeemed. The relationship between each character can be improved or worsened by doing various things. The affinity progression and results between the Heroes or the NPCs, as well as the global area affinity can be viewed on the affinity chart, from the main menu.
Xenoblade Chronicles 3[]
Colony Affinity[]
The party can improve their affinity with various colonies across Aionios. There are three main ways to increase affinity with a colony:
- Complete a Quest involving that colony
- Complete a Collectopaedia Card of someone belonging to that colony
- Send off the husks of soldiers found across Aionios belonging to that colony.
Colony affinity is only shown once the colony is liberated from their Flame Clock; affinity gained prior to freeing the colony will apply afterward. Each colony has five bonus perks which improve the party's travel experience; one is earned for every star.
