Alexandria (Japanese: ニイナ , Niina) is a character in Xenoblade Chronicles 3.
Overview[]
She can be recruited as a Hero.[1] Alexandria is the commander of Colony Iota, and she has got a strong reputation in Agnus as well as in Keves for her skillful swordsmanship and strategies like her ability to judge the war situation.[2][3][4] She helped invent the Collectopedia Cards as a method of streamlining logistics and gathering intelligence on other colonies.
Alexandria is unlocked as a Hero by completing the Hero Quest Her Reasons. Her Class Rank can be increased to 20 by completing the Ascension Quest Inescapable Past.
Story[]
Before becoming commander, Alexandria was just a soldier for Colony Iota, a Colony whose commander at the time wasted men and resources, and used outdated tactics. In order to prevent the collapse of the Colony, Alexandria conspired with Fili, Sequoia, Chelle, and Rhyza to poison their commander, and stage it so that he died in battle. Afterwards, she made her accomplices team leaders to ensure their loyalty, and herself as the commander. However, she never truly believed she had earned the trust of her comrades, and remained untrusting of them in return.
After becoming the new commander, Alexandria began a series of reforms within Colony Iota to increase their efficiency. They became more efficient at stockpiling combat rewards, allowing them to share supplies with other Colonies to create debts. With the help of Chickadee, she proposed the Collectopaedia Card system to serve the dual functions of streamlining supply logistics and performing espionage on other Colonies. She introduced the Harvest Day concept to the Colony, incentivizing production by rewarding the hardest worker with whatever they desired. She gave soldiers more independence to increase their confidence and skills, and bring the soldiers of Iota closer together. And lastly, she used a more logical information-based approach to warfare, which increased combat efficiency and reduced casualties. All of these reforms led to Colony Iota becoming one of the most capable and powerful colonies within Agnus, and its rapid rise to Silver Rank. However in the background, the Colony still remained under the control of Consul E.
Sometime after becoming commander, Alexandria led Colony Iota into battle against Colony 30. However, her calculations were for naught, as Valdi modified their Levnises before the battle, which made them lose control and become entirely unpredictable. Thus, Colony Iota suffered defeat at the hands of their enemy, leading Alexandria to become bitter towards their former adversary, and its commander Valdi.

Alexandria attacking the party
Alexandria stages an ambush against the Ouroboros at Dies Arch, under command of the Consuls. She proclaims to the Ouroboros that they must be punished for their crimes, and Noah replies that what she knows isn't the whole truth. The party uses a dust cloud created by Sena to narrowly escape, and Alexandria comments that they might make for a "fun reception".
The party chooses to strike first, and battles Alexandria in her Colony. After the battle, she plays dead as E teleports in to battle the Ouroboros. However, he is ultimately defeated, and Alexandria reveals herself to have survived. She explains that she fought the Ouroboros to test their strength, and used the threat of hunting them down to lure them to the Colony and defeat E, while also not drawing suspicion of betraying the Consuls. Taion states this strategy was reckless, and could have lead to the death of her comrades, but Alexandria retorts that nothing is gained without sacrifice. She shows the party how Iota operates, and states that she chooses to operate differently as doing what everyone around you does only leads to the same results. Afterwards, she lets Noah destroy their Flame Clock, and lets them go on their way.
During her Ascension quest, Gambert proposes a tech summit with their former adversary Colony 30 now that both Colony's Flame Clocks have been destroyed. Alexandria accepts, and makes preparations for the summit. At the summit, she remains passive aggressive towards Valdi, until his prototype Levnis Robobuddy goes haywire, and attacks the party. Afterwards, she checks Colony 30's Collectopaedia Card and notices that the Levnis was obtaining materials used in making a poison, leading her to deduce someone else has taken control of the Levnis.
Noah saving Alexandria
The party use Robobuddy's travel logs to trace its path back to Old Kana Battlefield, where another Levnis of the same model attacks the party, leaving them near the edge of a cliff. Consul Q reveals himself, revealing that he was the one who took control of the Levnises, and that the logs were a trap to get them pinned near the edge. Alexandria stayed behind, and began to attack the Consul, but a laser beam from the Levnis left her paralyzed. Q brings up her past trauma of when she poisoned her previous commander in an attempt to leave her emotionally vulnerable, having already been informed by E. The party chooses to trust her anyways, and work together to take down Q. During the battle, Alexandria is pushed off the edge of the cliff, only being saved at the last second by Noah, who reminds her of the trust between them, while Q approaches him from behind. Lanz fires upon Q to divert his attention, allowing Noah to use Lucky Seven to kill Q once and for all. Alexandria finds Noah's seemingly careless trust in his comrades peculiar, but is thankful for it anyways. After returning to Colony 30, she proposes exchanging Gambert for one of Colony 30's personnel in order for the intellectual stimulation of both parties. Afterwards, Noah promises to not mention what Q said to anyone, as long as she doesn't do anything similar again, to which she agrees.
Gameplay[]
Her class is Incursor, an Attacker class. She wields a sword-like blade to cut down enemies with her brilliant swordsmanship. Each time she makes a critical hit, her attack power increases, making her stronger and stronger in battle.
In a Chain Attack, Alexandria starts with 30 TP by default. Alexandria's Chain Art is Whistling Blades,[5] and her Heroic Chain bonus gives her TP a 125% modifier as well as making all of her attacks critical if she is the first to act during a Chain Order.
