Alien Nation (Japanese: 文化交流, Bunkakōryū, Cultural Exchange) is a Normal Mission in Xenoblade Chronicles X. It can be received from Alex at West Melville Street in the Commercial District of New Los Angeles. Although it is not required, the Basic Mission A Concerned Citizen can be used to locate this mission.

Objectives

1. Achieve all objectives
   • "Talk to Arwae in the administrative district's hangar."
   • "Talk to Zeedoy in the central industrial district."
   • "Talk to Wikaye in the starboard portion of the Ma-non ship."
2. "Talk to Alex on West Melville Street in the commercial district."
3. "Meet Alex atop Primordia's Headwater Summit."

A route (Stop Alex)

1. Achieve all objectives
   • "Defeat Lineage atop Primordia's Headwater Summit."
   • "Defeat the three BLADEs atop Primordia's Headwater Summit."
     • One BLADE Sniper, one BLADE Trooper and one BLADE Soldier.

B route (Observe)

1. Alex shoots Zeedoy, followed by another prompt:
   • "Stop Alex": see A route
   • "Turn Away"
2. Alex shoots Arwae, followed by a third prompt:
   • "Stop Alex": see A route
   • "Turn Away"
3. Alex shoots Wikaye, followed by a final prompt:
   • "Argue": see A route
   • "Accept"

Results

A route (Stop Alex) "You stood against Alex, electing to protect New LA's xenoform residents."
B route (Observe) "You sided with Alex, electing to watch as he purged the alien threat to mankind's future."

Notes

• If Alex is not stopped from shooting them, Zeedoy and Arwae will die. If Wikaye is also shot, he rises after Alex leaves, revealing that he had pretended to die.
