B (Japanese: ビイ, Bī) is a character in Xenoblade Chronicles 3.

Overview

B is the Consul of Colony 9.

Story

He is first seen in the introductory cutscene, atop the Ferronis of Colony 9.

As the Consul of Colony 9, he responds to D's symbol in the air from the valley, and uses his Iris to get his Colony to attack and pursue Noah, Eunie, and Lanz when they attempted to make it back to the colony after the battle in Alfeto Valley. He is seen standing in the colony as the order is given.

After K's defeat in Colony 4, the Consuls have a meeting. D insists K's reliance on his Iris is what lead to his demise, to which B defended K by saying that the plan was not a bad one, pointing out the fact that Black Fog being in the area was merely just bad luck. D chides B for his stake in his Iris, stating that it has a share of blind spots, before being called out for nearly being defeated himself by O, P and H. B, along with the others, agreed to let J take on the Ouroboros next.

Zeon vs. B

This conversation apparently had an impact on B, as he no longer made any attempt to use the Iris to control the residents of Colony 9. He approaches the party and attempts to persuade Zeon and his soldiers to attack Noah and the others with the promise of a promotion for doing their duty. However, when he tried to attack the party, Zeon defended them, and counterattacked him, distracting him while Noah and Mio took out the Colony's Flame Clock. He is ultimately defeated by the Ouroboros.
