A Balaena docked by Corne Island
Balaenas are aquatic vehicles in Xenoblade Chronicles 3. They are Agnian Levnises that are mainly used to traverse Erythia Sea and transport supplies and people between the islands.
Story[]
When the party talks to Kisame about infiltrating Li Garte Prison Camp, she mentions that she saw an Agnian transport Balaena heading toward Corne Island, with it likely being a Levnis from Agnus Castle. The party tracks down the Balaena on Corne Island in order to access its data regarding the prison camp. As they approach the Balaena, they get spotted and are attacked by the six Agnus Soldiers that were set on an expedition of the island. After defeating the soldiers, the party accesses the data terminal inside the Balaena and then leaves.
During Why So Busy?, the party discovers that the Agnian soldiers in the castle have been working with the Lost Numbers to provide provisions for the City. The party retrieves some ether cylinders for Dana to provide the Balaena with energy to sail. However, after the Balaena sets sail for Farview Cape, Seeker loses contact with its passengers. During Missing in Action, the party discovers the Baleana to have been attacked by rebels led by Ragzy, with Dana and the other passengers having been killed. The party defeats the rebels and the rebels are captured.

- During the Rest Spot discussion, Favorite Levnises, Sena mentions that Balaenas are her favorite kind of Levnis.
