Black Beetles (Japanese: クロメタルカナブン, Kurometarukanabun) are collectables in Xenoblade Chronicles. They can be found in the Ether Mine and later in Colony 6. According to their description, they have a sheen like black metal and kids love them because they look cool. Two are required for Colony 6 Reconstruction. In Definitive Edition, they can be purchased in Time Attack place from the Nopon Archsage for 4,200 Noponstones.

Ether Mine - the following locations have the highest spawn rate (19%) for Black Beetle:
- the narrow passage at Test Pit 1
- the passage that leads to Test Pit 3
- the second forked pathway when passing through the central terminal. The Vengeful Daulton is nearby.
Colony 6 - north of the Reconstruction Headquarters. (13% spawn rate, Special LV1 only, before completing the Mechonis core event)
