Control is a debuff in Xenoblade Chronicles X. Control seizes control of enemies and temporarily turns them into allies. Enemies afflicted with Control stop acting, and they will use Battle Arts on any other enemy that the player targets.
When inflicted on players, their battle HUD (Heads-Up Display) vanishes completely, they lose all control of themselves and strafe randomly until the debuff wears off, and they use Battle Arts on their allies.
Bosses and Tyrants are immune to Control.
