Gem Man (Japanese: ジェム爺, Jemu-jii) is a Homs in Xenoblade Chronicles. He is the owner of the Gem Man's Stall and he is found any time at this landmark. The Gem Man operates an Ether Furnace, which is capable of processing Ether Crystals and Ether Cylinders into gems. The Gem Man does not charge the party for using his Furnace.
Initially the party must visit the Gem Man any time they want to craft a gem. After completing The Gem Man's Invention, the Gem Man gives them a Mobile Furnace, which allows the party to craft gems anywhere.
In Xenoblade Chronicles 3: Future Redeemed, it is revealed that the Gem Man's ether furnace is still standing in Colony 9, albeit unusably damaged. After completing The Derelict Ether Furnace, Nikol fixes the ether furnace, allowing the party to craft the maximum level of gems. Shulk reminesces about the Gem Man's ingenuity, and promises him to treat it with care.
The Gem Man does not offer items for trade and does not appear in the Affinity Chart.
