Immovable Gonzalez in Xenoblade Chronicles

Gogols (Japanese: ゴゴール, Gogōru; English dub: /ˈɡoʊɡəl/, rhyming with ogle) are an ape-like family of enemies in the Xenoblade Chronicles series. They are very large and often high level.

Gogols undergo a minor appearance change between games; in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and Torna ~ The Golden Country they have manes instead of the hair spike they had in Xenoblade Chronicles. They also gain slight more life-like anatomy.

Xenoblade Chronicles[]

Gogols vary in size and appear on Bionis, in late Tephra Cave, the Bionis' Leg and Satorl Marsh. There are three different colors of Gogols: the green/silver, the black, and the red-orange Gogols. The strongest Gogol is Reckless Zanden in Tephra Cave at level 98.

Trivia[]

  • Certain enemies in the Gogal family can use the art "Wild Wave." This art, along with its usage by a simian family of enemies, is most likely a reference to the anime franchise Dragon Ball, in which the main protagonist Goku, a member of a simian-like race, uses the "Kamehameha" technique by using both his hands to shoot a large beam of light from them. The "Wild Wave" art mimics this technique's actions.
