Introspection is a Heart-to-Heart in Xenoblade Chronicles X. It is located northwest of Division Drive in the Administrative District of New Los Angeles between Yelv and Cross during the evening.

 Dialogue

"Hey, Cross..."
"Yeah, I know what it looks like. But I wasn't brooding."
"I was just thinkin' about how the odds of my friend being alive at this point are basically zero."
"But that don't mean I'll never get to see him again. When we get his real body back, maybe I can, right? So I just gotta be pacient."
Empathize: Tell Yelv you understand how he feels.
"Thanks."
"I don't know when or how it happened, but somehow searching for him had become my entire life."
"Time to goddamn well give up and move on, ya know? I have other friends now. Fellow BLADEs."
"Anyway, I'll be okay."
Tease: Cheer Yelv up by mocking his new introspective nature.
"Yeah, I didn't know that I was capable of introspection neither. Hell, I'm not even sure I know what it means."
"Don't worry--I ain't gonna make a habit of it."
"I don't know when or how it happened, but somehow searching for him had become my entire life."
"Time to goddamn well give up and move on, ya know? I have other friends now. Fellow BLADEs.
Inquire: Ask Yelv what he's going to do now.
"I may not have succeeded in my own personal goal, but all us humans have a shared goal her on Mira, and there's still we can pull that off."
"So I'm gonna dedicate myself to that."
"You've been a big help to me through all this, pard. Now it's time for me to start helping you."
"Anything you want done, just say the word. I'll follow you straight into hell if that's what it takes!"

Probe: Ask Yelv if this has anything to do with Eleonora.

"Eleonora? Why you draggin' her into this?"
"Look, she's been really supportive of me...in ther own kind of way."
"She kept the tough assignments coming so I didn't have to spend so much time with my own dark thoughts."
"Not that she'd ever let me know that was why, but I could hear the concern behind her barbed comments."
"She's become someone important to me. ...Kinda like you, I guess."
