Certain mechanics in Xenoblade Chronicles X required an Online connection. All of these mechanics are now discontinued due to two events. On November 7/8th, 2017, the Miiverse social network shut down, preventing the BLADE Report messaging system from being accessible. On April 8th, 2024, the Wii U Online Services ceased operations. Along with it, all of the remaining Online features in Xenoblade Chronicles X ended as well, which resulted in many items and Achievements becoming unobtainable, as well as some mechanics left unable to be experienced. The following is a list of Achievements, Armor, Weapons, Holofigures, Materials, and mechanics affected by the shutdown.

Most of these mechanics returned in Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition.

This lasted until May 21st, 2024, when the last Xenoblade Chronicles X online player was ultimately disconnected.[1]
