Looking for Gold Bugs (Japanese: 金色の虫を求めて, Kin'iro no Mushi wo Motomete) is a Timed Quest in Xenoblade Chronicles. It can be received from Teelan in Alcamoth. If Shulk is the active party, he will comment.

Objectives

• "Collect 9 Gold Caterpillars from Tephra Cave."
• "Return to Teelan."

Results

"You got the bugs he asked for and delivered them safely. He can enjoy observing them now."

Notes

• Gold Caterpillars can be traded for in Colony 9 with Jolele in the Residential District, from 18:00 to 03:00, or with Françoise in the Tranquil Square, from 06:00 to 15:00.

• Upon completion of this quest, the Affinity Chart will change if Teelan is spoken to between 6:00 and 9:00, or at 15:00 when leaving:
