Masha Cassini (Japanese: マティア・カシィ Matia Kashii) is a character in Xenoblade Chronicles 3. Masha was designed by Mai Yoneyama, an animation director for the Kill la Kill animated series.
Overview[]
Masha can be recruited as a Hero as part of the Expansion Pass, by completing Lapidarist Extraordinaire, and her Class Rank can be increased to 20 by completing For the Sake of Keepsakes. She meets the party in the City and is able to craft special accessories using Enigmatter at rest spots. She is a Lapidarist Extraordinaire who enjoys creating jewelry.
At the end of her ascension quest, it is revealed she's the current head of House Cassini, meaning she is descended from Linka, and highly likely a descendant of Zeke and Pandoria by extension.
When outside the party, Masha can be found looking over Virid Park by the City Camp.
Appearance[]
Masha is a tall fair skinned lady with a lean physique and noticeable bust. Her hair is white with blue highlights and her eyes are yellow. Masha's hair has bangs on the front of her face, in both the middle and sides. The sides of her hair consist of two sections that are twisted into coils and bound with a bell like charm, forming a triangle shape. The charm is linked to another of the exact same shape, which contains long hair extensions. Masha wears a neck accessory that consists of black diamond shapes linked at the edges, and at the center is a blue diamond jewel. It is unclear is this jewel is part of her body or part of the accessory.
Masha's outfit is a green short skirt kimono with white fur trim on the collar, a black inner shirt with translucent parts on the cleavage, black long sleeves with cutouts for her fingers, black thigh high boots with cutouts on the toe and green soles, and a black rose accessory with a cloth of the same color. Masha's nails are painted black.
Masha's Blades are the Dazzling Rings, chakrams with a gray base, silvery blades, black inner trim, and several jewels. 5 large diamond jewels form a star shape. The forward jewels are yellow, the upper left and right jewels are purple, the bottom left and right jewels are teal, and two more blue tear-shaped jewels lie in the middle of the purple and teal jewels (one on each side).
Gameplay[]
Masha's class is the Healer class, Lapidarist, an attack-based Support class that relies on critical hits to heal teammates. She wields Dazzling Rings, a pair of rings similar to Mio's Dual Moonblades.
In a Chain Attack, Masha starts with 35 TP by default. Her Chain Art is Radiant Artificer, and her Heroic Chain bonus adds 15 to the TP of all active characters, and removes 10 from her own TP when chosen.

Trivia[]
- Despite not being available until the Version 1.3.0 update, placeholders of Masha's official artwork, level up icon, and affinity chart icon were present in the files of the Version 1.2.0 update.
- During Chapter 5, when Masha is in the party, she wears a Lost Numbers eyepatch outside the City. Her eyepatch has the emblem of House Cassini, foreshadowing her identity before it's revealed during For the Sake of Keepsakes.
- Due to being DLC Heroes, Masha, Ino, Shulk, and Rex are the only Heroes that cannot be summoned by Nia and Melia during the fights against X∞ and Y∞. They are also the only Heroes to lack a unique conversation with Stefaan during An Artist.
