Mechanical Rhythm (機の律動) is a Field Track in Xenoblade Chronicles, composed and arranged by ACE+. It is track 15 of disc 4 from the Xenoblade Original Soundtrack. This music is heard whenever the party engages an enemy in battle in the Mechonis areas of the game (except for Sword Valley): Galahad Fortress, Fallen Arm, Mechonis Field, Central Factory, and Agniratha. Notably, this same theme plays when Junks flies the party into the Central Factory to pursue Egil after the destruction of Agniratha.
A motif from this song is used in "New Battle!!!" in Xenoblade Chronicles 3: Future Redeemed.
A shortened version of this song appears in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, where it has a chance of playing on the two Xenoblade Chronicles series stages, Gaur Plain and the Cloud Sea of Alrest. It can also play on Final Destination and the three versions of Battlefield in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. It is unknown as to why certain parts of the song have been trimmed. A remix of Mechanical Rhythm is also used in the "Xenoblade Chronicles Medley" track.
The Definitive Edition version of this song appears in Tetris 99 as part of the Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition theme, where it plays once the top 50 in a match is reached, and plays until the top 10 is reached.
