The Mechon M64X is a story exclusive Mechon in Xenoblade Chronicles. It is an enhanced "elite" versions of the standard Mechon M64. The Mechon M64X appears at level 22 at Freight Road in Colony 6, during the battle that takes place immediately after escaping the Ether Mine.
During this battle, the Mechon M64X is a Kindred Enemy fought along with one Mechon M69X and two Mechon M53X.
This Mechon does not respawn and does not drop Treasure Chests, although it does carry items. These items are unobtainable, however, as the Mechon M64X appears before Riki joins the party, and Riki's Yoink! ability is the only way to obtain items which enemies carry but do not drop.
There is another normal variant of the Mechon M64X. They are fought in the Ether Mine at level 23, and can respawn.
