Mechon M72 are Mechon in Xenoblade Chronicles. They appear at level 5 during the Mechon raid on Colony 9. They respawn but only during this raid attack in the Commercial District, Residential District, Military District, and just outside the Main Entrance of Colony 9.

There are three other versions of this Mechon M72, a story exclusive variant fought during the second story event battle at Central Plaza, another story exclusive variant fought during the third story event battle at the Main Entrance, and a story exclusive variant fought during the prologue event in Sword Valley.

Trivia

  • In cutscenes, Mechon M72 are the general variety seen, and seem to be one of the main "shock troops" of the Mechon race. However, in actual gameplay terms, players are usually more likely to face Mechon M63 instead.
  • During the Mechon attack on Colony 9, a Mechon M72 is seen eating a Homs resident from the victim's point of view.
