Bio All men dream: but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake to find that it was vanity: but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dreams with open eyes, to make it possible. This I did.
I wanted to contribute more to the enemy pages by finding out what stats they have (like HP, strength, agility, etc.). What I am wondering is, how do you find out what their stats are? If I could know how to find out that information, I can get that information on a lot of enemies and complete that part out, along with the EXP, SP, and WP portions. The EXP, SP, and WP info are relatively easy to obtain, but I don't know how people are getting the enemy's stats. Could you help me out?
^ That may be able to help you, although I'll admit I have no way of verifying the math. You could try contacting some of those users; I think the only way we're able to obtain enemy stats is through the data mine from a while ago.
Thank you for the reply. The one person posted a link to a spreadsheet that had some stats for the enemies. It seems to have every enemy available in XC2. Do you think I can rely on those stats and post them to the Wiki pages?
The one google docs spreadsheet I was attempting to follow was this: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1tFg-GRrA92VHecRew8Mpty9OP7vptCtdHCqwexyOgMQ/edit?usp=sharing . I was in the process of making an edit on one of the enemy pages that only had basic info on the enemy and their drops but I abandoned it since the only thing I was able to add was the enemy's stats. I wanted to add the arts but a lot of the arts, under the "Hits" column, said 0 so I wasn't sure about adding it. Also, it has the effects of the Enranged but it never says what triggers it, so I didn't do that either. It would of felt even more incomplete if I did add it without what triggers the Enraged.
Drahnian, that database that you posted is confusing for me to follow. I'm not sure if I'm able to use it because I don't know how to follow or read it. Could you elaberate on how to read that database? Maybe If I knew how to follow it, I might be able to use it then.
Now that I'm looking at the database more, I'm kind of getting it but there's still two critical things I want/need to get before I can add the Arts and Enraged stats to any enemy page. I need to know how much a particular art hits and I need to know what triggers the enraged. I could assume that all enemies become enraged at 50% HP but I remember seeing an enemy on this wiki (can't remember which enemy) that got enraged at 30% HP. Should I assume that most enemies get enraged at 50% HP?
Unfortunately I can't be of much help with reading the database for arts/stats as I've only ever used it for drop tables. Tbh having enemy stats even without arts is helpful (and will make an easier job of things once someone does go to complete the arts tables). A couple of enemies enrage before or after 50%, so if I were you I'd just put that they can be enraged and leave the value blank - in my experience people are far more likely to input obvious missing boxes than start from scratch. BlazingDiancie and XenoKT used to work on these a lot, although aren't so active these days. Might be worth messaging them to ask.
Apologies in advance for messaging you on a different fandom site, but every single page seems to be locked on the Zeldapedia.
I admin a few other fandoms, so I can understand why the security. But would you kindly give me access to the following page so I can add images of the drops for the other amiibos (I have all 22)?Кэне_零三 12:17, October 27, 2019 (UTC)
It seems to me that the work provided on Shulk and Fiora as DLC Blades for XC2 (and Challenge Battle Nopon enemies from XC1) gives this kind of idea to Monolith Software, for me at first sight, arts of Shulk and Fiora in this Definitive Edition look like those of their Blades counterparts in XC2.
Well, if this remaster incorporates anything from the 2 newer games, I'll definitely need an "important points" crash course, as I've not played any except the original, and I hear that the second one kind of "alters" the ending of the original, or something like that... We'll see.
In my case, I only dealt with new graphics and aesthetics (artwork, HD, new rendering, etc. with new 3D graphics engine probably the one used for XC2 etc.). In my opinion, I do not really think that this remaster with incorporates anything from the new other games, surely not with XCX, more probably with XC2, maybe a simple nod with Klaus... or things not related to the plot like Challenge Battles (kind of game bonus appearing in "another dimension"), but nothing more. I even think it would not be a good idea, even for "fan service", while dealing with/more or less connecting/incorporating elements from both XC1 and XC2 would be rather better with a new XC3 if they really want to do it. In terms of story and universe, I prefer that XC1 remains as it is.
Hi there! i was wondering if you or anyone on the Zelda FANDOM page could possibly update the Character pictures for the smash characters? (Zelda, Link, Toon Link, Young Link, Sheik & Ganondorf.) Thank You.
Sure! Here's a few things to think about while getting started:
Don't expect traffic or a community right away.
Creating a wiki takes time, but dedicated fans of whatever you're making the wiki about will find their way there eventually. Don't worry about having a few months where you're the only person there.
Keep thing organized in a way that makes sense to you.
Ultimately, you're building a resource for you. If you start with good habits of categorizing pages and images, standardizing templates and article formats, etc., then you'll have a much easier time down the road when you have to explain it to others.
Be open to constructive criticism.
People will eventually come, and while some will be trolls and vandals (which you can safely ignore, block, and move on), some will have alternate ideas on how to do things. Wikis are collaborative efforts, so listen to suggested changes, discuss, and come to compromises whenever you can.
This isn't really anything to do with recent things nor does it benefit the wiki in any way, but I want to ask regardless just to make sure I'm not stupid: (this is about the first game, to clarify)
On certain enemies (e.g. Violent Andante in Bionis' Leg), it has a number in parentheses next to the attacks that inflict Knockback (e.g. "Ferocious Gore I" - Knockback: Yes (2); "Rampage" - Knockback: Yes (1)). What does this mean?
Hey, I'll be honest – I have no idea what that means. It looks like the user who added a lot of those arts was Ma'crish823, so I would ask them if I were you. I don't recall it ever coming up in a discussion, but it looks like that would've been three or four years ago, so my memory is a bit hazy.
Actually, on second though, it might be the severity of the Knockback. I think on Rampage, it just pushes you back a bit, while on Ferocious Gore I, it sends you flying. Or would Blowdown be sent flying?
I'll ask another then: should we include information that you can learn earlier than intended through the use of glitches?
That may make no sense, so I'll list an example: a while back, I made an edit to Reckless Galdon (Lvl 95 Andos UM in Tephra Cave), stating that he spawns at any time when you defeat Metal Face at Colony 9. I found this out by accident while doing the Pre-Monado Lvl 50 trick (glitch?)--I defeated Metal Face, went back for more Ether Crystals, and found Reckless Galdon at his usual spot after taking a wrong turn. But since that area of Tephra Cave isn't accessible officially until after Mechonis Core, should I change it back to the way it was?
In answer to the original question, the numbers came from the JCE. I had translated and extracted the JCE's enemy arts data, and posted it under User:Flanqer/Enemy Arts so contributors like Ma'crish823 could just copy & paste it to the individual enemy pages.
As I noted on those pages, the JCE gives Knockback as a number from 1 to 5, and makes no mention of blowdown. I've always assumed that the number is the knockback severity and the chance of blowdown. (I've also wondered whether armour weight might reduce or prevent knockback & blowdown, but that'd take a lot of experimenting.)
I could test the Armour weight thing. Though I'd have to get ahold of some Armour with varying Weights, and find an enemy that can actually hit me (I did the Pre Monado Lvl 50 thingamajig as I said earlier).
So almost two months later, I finally figured out the Armour thing. The number for the Knockback does indeed dictate how far you're knocked back. And, while it was somewhat difficult to determine, it looks like every +10 Weight on a character slightly decreases your Accuracy and Evasion, but also slightly decreases the distance you're knocked back.
Are you talking about the navigation? If so, I believe that's because back when WA was setting up all of the infrastructure for XC2 (pre-release), he included the new Torna as one of the modern nations. Due to TTGC's release, I would be okay with changing it to reflect that, since the actual Kingdom of Torna is now much more fleshed out and whatnot.
Hi. This past few days, user DarkNova29 and I have started editing some enemy pages trying to fill them with information (stats, arts, drops...) that we've managed to get from the datamine (I even left a message on the forum regarding this). Some examples of the work thus far include Armored Brennan and Antecedent Xiaxia.
My question is: would it be possible to create a dedicated template for the stats of the enemies (HP, Strength, Ether...) and for the various effects of the Enraged status?
For the stats it should be what's already on those pages: the element of the enemy, HP, Strength, Ether, Dexterity, Agility, Physical and Ether Defenses, Critical Rate and Guard Rate (the "Bock Rate" thing was a mistake, oops). For the Enraged status it should have its trigger condition (HP below certain %, using an art...), its effects (three at most) and the element the enemy becomes.
Enemy Blades have their own element that is shared among its Specials and a weapon type. They also have their own Auto-attack, Stability and Critical and Guard Rate stats. They basically work the same as regular Blades.
I'm home for ~4 weeks and now have access to all xenoblade games, so will be active again on here. I was wondering if you could give me a run down of any large wiki changes that've happened & what needs worked on currently? I mainly intend to add a lot of screenshots, so a direction of what's needed there (looks like enemy pages?) would be welcome, and any more general work, too.
I hope you've been well, and happy Christmas when that swings round.
Well, you probably saw this thread, where I tried to finally wrap up the outstanding discussions we had for the year. There was a... bit of a mess with some of it, and UB decided to step down from the Wiki (it was a contributing factor, anyway).
We're about to start up a Discord server (I've been working with some other Xeno fans on the Internet on it and we're partnering with the Xenosaga/gears Wiki, which is cool), so if you want to be a part of that as an admin or moderator, just let me know.
In terms of specifics, I've been working on location/landmark pages recently, most of which from XC2 and TTGC are missing images. Enemies could also definitely use some work.
I've also got some free time over the holidays, so ironically this time of year is when I get the most Wiki-ing done. If you have any other questions, of course don't hesitate to ask. Happy editing to you, and happy holidays!
I saw, but didn't want to delve too deep into the discussions on "spoilers" and "Monado" as I've not finished XC2. Very sorry to hear that UB has left! That's quite a blow, he was always so lovely :(
! I'd be up for that - might encourage me to be more active in the community in general. I don't talk to other fans anywhere as often as I like to, especially of Gears and Saga,so I think that's a great idea.
Nice, nothing I love more than location screenshot'ing! Do enemy pages need drop tables/arts as with previous games?
Fair enough, definitely wouldn't want you to spoil yourself on account of the Wiki! And yeah, UB is definitely missed.
Sounds good, I can send you an invite (if you want to hop into a private chat, which is a wiki function I haven't used in a while).
As far as I know, XC2 enemy pages don't have drop tables yet (although I'm embarrassed to admit I don't remember what enemies drop in that game), so if you want to work on anything in that area, that'd be great. And I'd love to have decent pictures for location pages, especially given that most of our pages have that obnoxious placeholder image.
EDIT: It looks like someone has been working on arts and drop tables (like here), although it's not in template form yet. You could talk to DarkNova28 if you wanted more info on that, and I would definitely recommend putting a template together if people want to use that style going forward.
Haha, I've already caught a few, but they haven't ruined the game for me yet.
A private w h a t ? (How do I access that?)
Oh yeah, looks like DarkNova28 and XenoKT actually have a datamine listing all of those, so I won't try and get the information manually! Will stick to screenshots and listing enemies/NPCs in areas for now (and intend to go through some XCX pages, too - I noticed a Bad Image or two in a few infoboxes...). I'm really glad folk seem to have the quest pages under control; they're probably the most important gameplay aspect of the wiki.
I think if you go here, it pops you into our live chat function, which... nobody uses anymore, because all the cool Wikis have Discord servers now. It's the only way for me to send you a Discord invite without the entire Internet also seeing it and being able to use it. Once you're on Discord, the entire chat function will be pretty much moot.
Don't mean to butt in on you guys conversation but if you guys need any help with anything I am available too. I worked on the big entire list of enemies page for XC2 and the quests. I am going to try and also post the remaining Torna quests.
Quest work is definitely a priority, although you could probably ask DarkNova and KT about the data mine information they're gathering. I think they've been working on "translating" it into a readable format and then putting the info onto pages, but I'm sure they'll know more about the specifics than I do.
