I did some digging and someone on youtube showed me how to properly turn Google Slides into a Microsoft Publisher replacement. The link to it is below. This way, we can start throwing all the information we have bundled together thus far and start putting it into a visually appealing PDF file. Hope your Senior year isn't killing you like my freshman college year is to me.
So this is a pain. I am no longer able to use Microsoft publisher. I am trying new routes to see which software would be best for this prodgect. I might look into seeing if i can fix the page layout on slides again, since the tools at my disposal are far superior to what i used back at home. I’ll keep you posted.
Ok, again, i am sorry this is taking so long, but my laptop is back and i did get paid, so i should be able to re download Publisher soon and get back to working on the project. I am also busy with school so i wont be as productive as i used to be.
Sorry if I have been Slow. I have been Working on Moving back to the east coast and working to make it happen. I have moved NPC Letters A-D over to Publisher. I really Like how it is turning out. If you have the New 3DS version, and the pics are not already available on wiki, can I ask you to help take Screenshots of the NPC's and Screenshots of their location on a map(with also noting which time you fount them at)? If you could do that it could speed the project along. If you are busy with school I will understand. I have already pulled Pictures for the NPC's up to Dorothy (Alphabetical Wise I mean).
To do a screenshot on New 3DS, press home button and go to miiverse. Then save it to the album. Then go to your miiverse account online and save the picture to your desktop. Then copy and paste the pictures to Google Slides. tedious? Yes. If you have the Rom version though, that would be more practical. Simply take a desktop Screenshot and save it to your files.
Ok. Sweet! I have just finished with making NPCs though D and also added in Dunban. Boy did he take me some time to do. I will try to make a goal of F to G by the end of the week(if work allows it). Glad to know quests are moving right along. And if you cannot pull pics or if its too much that is fine. I happen to own both versions of the game(cost me an arm and a leg too XD) so if necessary ill go back through after npcs are done and make pics.
I have played around with Microsoft Publisher 2016 & I love it. It has everything we need, with the only issue being that it does not have the star symbol we typically use for our affinity, but I was able to work around that easily. I very much like how well these pages are looking. We have a very wide arsenal to work with.
If you happen to have all of Microsoft Office, or publisher to be specific, then that would be great. We can get moving with this project and make it look nicer while also being able to cram more onto one page to save the length of the book.
If you do not have Microsoft Office, or specifically publisher, then it is just fine to continue as I made the formats already on Google Slides. If you work on that and I copy and paste what you do we can get through this faster.
Sweet. We have a plan now. If or when you ever get Publisher I can share the files with you. I have recently removed the links to the slides on my profile. If you need them I can PM you the links here.
I am running into some issues. Google slides is not printing onto pages the way I like. I am currently surfing through other avenues to see what we can do. In the mean time, if you know of any other software thats better than google presentation that would be great. Google Presentation will just make it impossible for us to print this project into a visually appealing book that will fit on an 8.5 x 11 or an 11 x 8.5 paper. Google Docs seems promising if I can figure out how to use it.
Ok, I have fina;;y upgraded to a core i5 7th gen Windows 10 laptop. I have everything I need at my disposal. I am currently investigating Microsoft Word. So far it seems promising. Once I have a few trial slides complete I'l Let you know. If you are able to I would like it if you continued with google slides (Just for now). Reason being is the more info the better and we can just copy and paste our work.
Do you have Microsoft Word at your use? If so then that would be perfect if I see if it is our best bet. I'll keep you in touch.
I have currrently made a trial format in word and I'm not really satisfied. It will work yes, but the software is tedious and arbituary. I have, howver, discovered Microsoft Publisher. This seems very Promising and I will try it out and let you know how it works for me.
I think I've had a good long enough break. I have just gotton as far as I'm willing to go on my New 3DS version of Xenoblade. Maybe I'll actually 100% complete it when I finish this guide and begin the Wii version. I understand your busy with school and I do not blame you for that. Sometimes life comes first, but once your ready to continue on this massive fun project with me that would be fantastic. In the meantime I will continue to work on the project.
I've been slowly working on the Xenoblade Slides. Work is long though and I've been marathoning Xenoblade 3D. I've almost completed it. I've made it all the way to the very last obtainable quest. I don't know what you have been up to but I hope your still eager to working with me on this.
Took a little bit but I was able to implement the new format into Slide #2: Quests. So we are now able to star new slides with the new formats I've made. Unless there is something I am missing we should only have to worry about making Quest slides. As for the Colony 6 Reconstruction and Immigrants, I've completed them in full. They are located under Colony 6 Recontruction, Right after the Colony 6 Quuests. On the Quest slides make sure to skip adding in the affinity changes as for those will go on a separate slide on Slide #6: Affinity.
We are making progress. and I'm pretty sure I won't have to force implement anymore formats into already made slides. So everything from here on is fresh.
