A good question, it is useful for sure to indicate the amount of Gold dropped, but either in a new infobox field or the Drops table, this needs to be discussed with the community. When you have such a question or proposal for the wiki, you should open a thread in the Wiki Board of the Forum for a wider view and more opinions or advice since we are functioning as a community (proposal, decisions, global agreement, etc.). If we globally agree, we will add a "Gold" field to the infobox or the Drops table. Thank you again for your helpful contribution.
Personally, I'm of the opinion that an okay-ish image in an infobox is always better than none. I'd rather not have a big question mark if we could at least have something for people to see when they load the page.
I don't think we can be quite as picky when it comes to stuff like that, as we don't have access to in-game models like we did for XC1 (unless someone does and just hasn't told us, but somehow I doubt that).
I see what you mean, however this is a work I had started to correct long time before when some contributors was added specific images for infoboxes. So the intention of the maintenance category Category:XC2 Pages needing an infobox image was for all contributors who were added and want to add images specifically for infoboxes. Perhaps, we can do both, keep those screenshots and this maintenance category (despite its name...).
I agree with the latter - we have some pages with very dire infobox images (especially from XCX, so if we could implement this across all games rather than just XC2) that probably should be in the category. It's very difficult to sort pages with good box images to those with bad box images otherwise.
Would be keen to know though WA what standard would you set for good images? (difficult to regulate them as, as CM said, we've no model gallery to work from) Could you give an example of a page with a good image / explain the difference in words?
Hi Drahnian, yes. Initially this maintenance category was very useful because we started to fill the wiki during the Japanese release of XCX (months before the US/EU one). It remains these four pages because no one was able to check (and eventually fix) their name for now. I am going to launch a new playthrough soon (since no Switch port and Wii U server should be closed soon), I will be able to check.
Finished all Heart to hearts, maps, NPCs, Story Characters, playable Characters, Shops, Colony 9 quests, some of Tephra Cave quests, collectipedia, etc. took awhile but I had to halt the project and condense everything since it got out of control. I decreased the images and font and removed bloat. Deleted about 100 pages.
While I have some concerns that the removed text might upset or offend someone, edit warring is against our Code of Conduct, and can lead to a block. This is a friendly, informal notice, but if the edit warring continues, official warnings may be issued.
As for the removed text, real-world religion and fiction are always a combination that risks causing offense. In this case, since Malos is the main antagonist / villain of XC2, mentioning that particular definition of the term "Logos" could be interpreted to mean that XC2 is making a statement against a real-world religion.
Hey, I just wanted to apologize if i caused any problems with the Blade page by changing the order of the blades. I just figured that for the sake of the Wiki they should be ordered in the same way as the Blade album in-game.
Hi Ixbran. There is no problem, do not worry, not a major point at all. In fact, the images order matches the list order in tables. This order is (if no one has changed something) the revealing order of Blades, one by one, by Monolith Soft (especially Rare Blades, and particularly the announcement given before the release of the game). But your point about ordering in the same way as the Blade album in-game, may be an interesting proposal, something the community can also discussed (there is other discussions about the Blade page, for example how to manage the Common Blades, only here or with an additional dedicated page...)
I would be very happy if it could be brought up and talked about amongst others, i would like that very m uch. I'm also sorry for not being as active here as I should be. Life has been super busy and hectic for me IRLand I don't have as much free time as i used too.
Hey WA, when you make a new page (for example Pyra's Acqua Pazza) and it's in a high state of completeness, could you please NOT include the stub template?
Unnecessary stub templates reduce the usefulness of the stub category by making it more difficult to find pages which actually need work. They also drive me crazy, because it seems like no one besides me ever removes the stub templates.
Hi UB, yes you are right, I did not pay enough attention when copying/pasting article draft models. I have removed hundreds and hundreds stub templates from many XCX pages (NPCs, locations, enemies, etc.), so I know what you feel!
