For those who have not completed games in the Xenoblade Chronicles series, this page contains spoilers regarding the plot. Discretion is advised.

The Meyneth Monado (Japanese: メイナスモナド, Meinasumonado) is a Unique weapon in Xenoblade Chronicles, wielded temporarily by Fiora. It is the Monado used by the soul of the Mechonis, Meyneth.

It is one of the only weapons to have an 'Unbeatable VI (100%)' Gem equipped on it (which causes a character's HP to remain at 1 when they should die at a 100% trigger rate).

It is only used briefly in normal gameplay, during the battle against Zanza in the Mechonis Core.

After the events of Mechonis Core, Zanza takes Meyneth's Monado and attempts to destroy and recreate the world with both weapons. Because of this, Zanza can use moves like Mechonis Buster, Monado Left, and Monado Cross by using Meyneth's Monado.

In the Definitive Edition, they are obtained as an Appearance option for Fiora after the events of Mechonis Core.

Trivia[]

  • When used by Fiora, the Meyneth Monado consists of two single-edged blades. When seized by Zanza, the two blades merge into a single two-edged blade.
  • The Meyneth Monado in its true form, Zanza's Monado in its true form, and Zanza's Monado in its Bionis form are the only three Monados the player never gets to use.
  • Its appearance bears a slight resemblance to the Seven-Branched Sword, a ceremonial sword believed to be a gift from the king of Baekje to a Yamato ruler.
