Mushy Mushrooms (Japanese: やわらかキノコ, Yawaraka Kinoko) is a quest in Xenoblade Chronicles. It can be received from Kofuko in the armour shop at the Central Plaza in Frontier Village. If Dunban is in the active party, he will comment.

Objectives

1. "Grab 8 Kelp Mushrooms in Makna Forest."
   • Hint: Trade with Lalapa (☆1) in Chief's Residence from 07:00 to 15:00 or Kokora (5760+ G) near the Nopon Tower from 06:00 to 15:00.
2. "Go see Kofuko."

Results

"Kofuko ate mushrooms that he love so, but maybe he never eat chewy ones again... *sniff*"

Dunban: "Couldn't you just eat one of those giant mushrooms?"

Kofuko: "Too big and tough! Impossible for Kofuko to eat! Maybe young friends could eat it. Friends want to try some?"

• In Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Bana alludes to this quest when he mentions his desire to eat Mushy Mushrooms for life.
