Spoiler alert

The future doesn't belong to you!

For those who have not completed games in the Xenoblade Chronicles series, this page contains spoilers regarding the plot. Discretion is advised.

New Game Plus is unlocked after completing the final chapter in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and Torna ~ The Golden Country. It is a second playthrough unlocked upon installing Patch (Ver.1.3.0) available on March 2nd, 2018. The first playthrough must be saved after beating the game, since saving after beginning a New Game Plus playthrough will overwrite the save data in which the game was initially cleared.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2

What Carries Over?

※ Notes: Each Driver's awakened Blades are only available when that Driver is available, but Blades never leave the party individually due to story events, meaning that Pyra, Mythra and Pneuma are usable throughout the whole game (however, Rare Blades can still leave the party during their Blade Quests, such as Herald). Additionally, if Poppi QTπ has previously been unlocked, she will be made available at the same point as Poppi QT. When Nia joins the party as a Driver in Chapter 1, she will have the same Blade and accessory loadout that she did at the end of the previous playthrough. However, her loadout cannot be edited until Chapter 2, although her Blades' Aux Cores can be modified. She and her Blades will also have access to the same post-battle dialogue options that they do in later chapters.

What Doesn't Carry Over?

What's New?

  • All Blades can be dispatched on Merc Missions. This means that Special Blades like Pyra, Mythra or Dromarch that could not be disengaged from the party during an initial playthrough can now be dispatched.

※ Note: Dispatching Poppi on Merc Missions will cause Tora to be locked out of the active party until Poppi returns from the Merc Mission. Dispatching any of Poppi's three forms on Merc Missions will cause all three forms to be treated as being on a Merc Mission.
