Newt Recruits (Japanese: 帝国軍人ニューツ, Teikoku Gunjin Nyūtsu, Imperial Soldier Newt) is a Blade Quest in Xenoblade Chronicles 2. It can be received by speaking to Mattragh in Gormott's Torigoth Relay Base while Newt is in the party. Newt must have unlocked the level 3 "Titan Weapon Wisdom" field skill to finish the quest. Upon completion of the quest, Newt's level 2 "Superstrength" field skill is unlocked.

Objectives

1. "Take on the Ardainian soldiers in a mock battle at Torigoth Relay Base, Gormott." (3)
2. "Check the broken parts of the Titan weapon at Torigoth Relay Base, Gormott."
   • It requires Titan Weapon Wisdom Lv1 and Keen Eye Lv2.
3. Multiple objectives:
   1. "Salvage the Search Monitor in Mor Ardain."
   2. "Salvage the Delta Vessel in Argentum."
4. "Repair the Titan weapon at Torigoth Relay Base, Gormott."
   • It requires Titan Weapon Wisdom Lv3.
5. "Report to Grand Marshal Robalt in Battle Command in Gormott."
6. Multiple objectives:
   1. "Defeat the Ship-Eating Taos on the starboard side of the battleship at Torigoth Relay Base."
   2. "Defeat the Ship-Eating Taos on the port side of the battleship at Torigoth Relay Base."
7. "Report to Grand Marshal Robalt in Battle Command in Gormott."
8. "Go to Hardhaigh Gate, in Mor Ardain."
9. "At Nharil Central Plaza, Mor Ardain, speak to Navarre."
10. "Look for Niall around Hardhaigh Palace, Mor Ardain."
    • Numerous Ardainian Privates, Majors, Nippers, Cetuses and Citadels can be encountered throughout Hardhaigh Palace during this step, but it is not necessary to defeat them.
    • Note: Skip Travel in the Hardhaigh Palace is disabled until the assassins are defeated.
11. "At Jarlin, Wing Area #1, in Mor Ardain, defeat the assassins." (3)
    • Brionac Ghost, Rados and Reys must be defeated.
12. "In Jarlin, Wing Area #1, Mor Ardain, speak to Niall."

Results
