The Orbital Skyreader is a Key Item in Xenoblade Chronicles 2. It must be obtained for the quest Salvage King. It can be salvaged at the Portal of the Hero in the Spirit Crucible Elpys. After completing the quest, the Orbital Skyreader is displayed on one of the altars behind Eulogimenos's throne in the Royal Audience Hall.
In Xenoblade Chronicles 3: Future Redeemed[]
The Orbital Skyreader appears in Xenoblade Chronicles 3: Future Redeemed at the end of If Walls Could Speak, where Rex and the party find it buried in a Treasure Trove at the Fallen Gate of Ulcaria. Rex then decides to display it in the Command Center in Colony 9.
