A Papil
Papils (Japanese: パピリオ, Papirio) are butterfly-like creatures in Xenoblade Chronicles X. They can be found in all five regions. They are similar to Adseculas and Turbas, and share some Arts and material names.
Description[]
"Butterfly-like creatures that use their elongated mouths to suck the sap from tall trees. Papils tend to seek out trees with poisonous sap, as they can store the toxic agents in their throats and then spit them at enemies when threatened. The glowing scales that disperse from their wings also contain poison."
"Unlike adults, the larvae have a rather bland physical appearance, which aids them in mimicking tree leaves."
Color Variants[]
Papils fall into two color variants:
- Purple papils are purple with blue and yellow details. They can drop Alluring Papil Scales.
- Green papils are yellow with green and orange details. They can drop Flowering Papil Scales.
