Pterix carrying Nopon
Pterix (Japanese: プテルス, Puterusu) are an enemy family in the Xenoblade Chronicles series. They are large, flying creatures that resemble pteranodons. Aside from equipment, they all share the same appearance.

In Xenoblade Chronicles, Pterix are found in Makna Forest, Satorl Marsh, on the Fallen Arm, and in Frontier Village. There are several types of Pterix. Pterix are used as beasts of burden by the Nopon.

Etymology[]
