Q (Japanese: キュー, Kyū) is a character in Xenoblade Chronicles 3.

Overview[]

Q is the Consul of Colony 30. He has an average build and wears a blocky helmet with three vertical ridges on the forehead with an additional ridge on its face that resembles a nose. He has amber eyes. In his Moebius form, Q assumes the form of a humanoid monster with a long, thorny tail and a spade-shaped head with three long ridges like those on his helmet extending off of it. Q lacks the toothy maw possessed by many Moebius, instead having what more closely resembles a beak. The ring that most other Moebius have around their waists is instead positioned over Q's head, giving it the appearance of a halo.

Q is pompous and arrogant. He's known for gloating and taunting his enemies, and will stop at nothing to win the "game" he believes himself to be playing. He thinks of soldiers as "tools," and nothing hurts his ego more than being disrespected and disobeyed. Q is very impatient, as demonstrated when he boards the Incomplete Siege-Lev and uses it to attack the party in its unfinished state. He's also remarkably cruel, assaulting Valdi and using the Siege-Lev to obliterate his cherished Mechafriend. Q is crafty and likes to pull off elaborate schemes, such as targeting a colony's resources in hopes that it will inspire "the most vicious raids." He seems to have a particular interest in Levnises.

Story[]

Q first appears when his colony's commander, Valdi, fails to report to him and work on the Ferronis. He introduces himself to the party but is not interested in fighting them at the time. Q instead coerces Valdi to continue working on the Levnises. Q is initially satisfied with Valdi's cooperation, but upon realizing the mechanic meant to sabotage the project, he attacks him. Q begins piloting the Incomplete Siege-Lev, and fights the party. He seemingly dies after the Levnis gets destroyed.

He is revealed to have survived during Inescapable Past and attempts to sabotage an alliance between Colony 30 and Colony Iota, and having learned of Alexandria's past from E he seeks to kill her as she killed her previous commander. The party confronts him and defeats him, this time for good.
