Quests are an important mechanic in Xenoblade Chronicles 3 and Future Redeemed.
Overview[]
Quests are are a collection of requests that the many people of Aionios ask of the party, or that are automatically triggered in the course of the story. Most quests do not need to be completed to advance the story, but some do. Quests can vary from delivering letters to defeating monsters that roam in the different nations. Very rare items, experience points, and money can be acquired from them. Some quests are triggered by holding Discussions at Rest Spots. In certain quests, the party can follow Traces to track, by looking carefully at the ground and following the trail, something may be discovered.
Certain quests require a specific Hero to be in the party in order to be completed, as removing the necessary Hero from the party will deactivate the quest.

Hero Quests[]
Completing Hero Quests allow the six main party members to recruit the corresponding Hero.
Ascension Quests are Hero Quests that, upon completion, will increase the maximum rank for corresponding Hero's class from 10 to 20. Additionally, six Side Story Quests will similarly increase the maximum rank for the base class corresponding to the party member it features. In order to be started, Ascension Quests require at least one party member to be at rank 10 in the hero's class, for the relevant hero to be in the party, and for the hero's questline to be sufficiently progressed.
