- — Riku
Riku (Japanese: リク) is a character in Xenoblade Chronicles 3 and Future Redeemed.
Overview[]
Riku & Manana are unlocked as a Hero duo after completing the Hero Quest A Nopon's Counsel. He and Manana together are also known as Peerless Riku & Manana (Japanese: 技巧のリク&マナナ, Gikō no Riku & Manana). He is a mechanic for Keves who is in charge of power frame repair and maintenance of the Colony 9 Ferronis.[1] Although he is initially a noncombatant, he later chooses to fight together with Manana as a single unit. Riku is one of the seven wielders of an Ultimate Hammer.
Riku is one of Riki and Oka's children, and, by extension, one of Kino and Nene's siblings.
Story[]
Future Redeemed[]
Riku is one of Riki's sons, and is friends with Melia, who he considers his Masterpon. At some point after Z used Origin to create Aionios, Melia entrusted Riku with Lucky Seven to pass it along to someone who can be trusted with its power one day. Riku was among the few people who were not assimilated by Origin.
At some point, Riku joined the Liberators, settling in Colony 9. Riku also made a prosthetic arm replacement for Shulk, who lost his right arm when he and Rex first confronted Alpha. Riku eventually sets up a workshop in the building that formerly belonged to Dunban. Riku also travels with the party on their journey to Prison Island. While resting at the Valak Peak Camp, Riku advises Shulk that leaping Blade-first into battle is best left to the young and reckless, words Riku learned from his masterpon, Melia. Riku tells Shulk how she had told him to give Lucky Seven to such a person someday. Riku says that "everyone" is in Lucky Seven and also with Shulk in his Monado REX+. After Alpha is vanquished, Riku and Nikol are shown working together to strengthen the Ouroboros Stone, which in turn refines the Ouroboros Power to become the power to Interlink.
Xenoblade Chronicles 3[]
Riku stayed with the City for a long time until he eventually insinuated himself into Keves, moving to Colony 14 and meeting Noah, Eunie, Lanz, and Joran. One day, Riku gave Noah Lucky Seven to use when it is needed, having deemed Noah worthy of the sword. After Colony 14 was destroyed, Riku moved to Colony 9 with Noah, Lanz, and Eunie.
When the party becomes Ouroboros, he stays with them and teaches them how to augment their equipment and create Gems.
While passing through the Urayan Tunnels, Manana jumps in to fight some Arachnos. Riku scolds her recklessness, failing to hide his concern for her. At the bottom of the first elevator, Riku requests everyone help him search mineral deposits for gemstones. While taking a break at the Ruins of Seebu Camp, Riku admits to Manana that he really likes her cooking. When the party finds the gemstones, a Princess Arachno attacks them. Riku and Manana decide to fight together in order to give the others more support, leading to the Arachno being defeated and Riku obtaining the gemstone he really wanted.
