The Sacred Altar (Japanese: 御神体の祭壇, Goshintai no Saidan) is a landmark in Xenoblade Chronicles. It is located in the Central Plaza of Frontier Village, being the central landmark. It is in the large tree, and in the center of this area there is a pool with a bridge to a little island in the middle. The sacred object is housed here, which protects Frontier Village from monsters, Mechon, and Telethia alike.
It is here that the party meets Riki. Surrounding this pool is an area where Nopon are found at all times of day and quests are given. There are also some shops, but only one sells the party anything.
