Shiny Scarabs (Japanese: ツヤカワカブト, Shiyakawakabuto) are collectables in Xenoblade Chronicles. They can be found in Mechonis Field and Colony 6. According to their description, they are cute shiny beetles that are not the type to pick a fight with others.

Mechonis Field - the following locations have the highest spawn rate (18%) for Shiny Scarabs:
- B1F: Spent Fuel Tank
- 2F: north of 2F Observation Post; in the vicinity of the location of the Destroyer Salvacion
- 3F: northwest of Lower Bulkhead Bridge; look for the circular platform located at the lower part of the floor
- 3F: south of Lower Bulkhead Bridge; head south two levels down to reach the spawn point (from the map, look for the rectangular-shaped platform)
- 4F: north of Patella Exhaust
- 4F: passage that leads to Machina Refuge
- 4F: from the map, look for the large platform that is shaped like an arc. The location is at the upper right corner of the platform.
Colony 6 - Park. Special LV3 and after completing Mechonis core. The highest spawn rate is 18% from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.:
