Skell Wear is a type of Armor in Xenoblade Chronicles X. This class of armor consist of gear only made by Sakuraba Industries and Grenada Galactic Group at level 3 R&D. They are designed to empower Skells while piloting one and have more upgrades, but as a trade-off they have limited effectiveness in ground combat. Some pieces of Skell wear have built-in augments which affect Skells, although Skell augments can not be equipped in any empty augment slots. Skell wear purchased from vendors will have specific augments built in, and upgrading to level 4 and 5 R&D will add more, whereas augments on Skell wear dropped from enemies will randomly differ.
