Stopping the Elopement (Japanese: 逃避行の阻止, Tōhikō no Soshi) is a quest in Xenoblade Chronicles. It can be received from Don Argentis in Colony 6. If Sharla is in the active party, she will comment. Sharla does not need to be in the active party to accept this quest, but must be the party leader to complete each of the objectives. Completing it unlocks Sharla's Affection skill tree.
This quest involving Zel Argentis is mutually exclusive with Stopping the Elopement involving En Argentis. Which one is offered depends on whether Zel Argentis or En Argentis was invited to Colony 6.

- "Search the Satorl Marsh area for the couple."
- They can be found in the Nopon Refuge.
- Sharla must be the party leader when speaking to Zel Argentis.
- "Persuade Oleksiy."
- Sharla must be the party leader when speaking to Oleksiy.
- "Return to Don Argentis."
- Sharla must be the party leader when speaking to Don Argentis.
