"Succumb to the power of Earth!"
— Melia

Summon Earth (Japanese: サモン・アース, Samon Āsu) is one of Melia's summon arts in Xenoblade Chronicles and Future Connected. Each earth element summoned will reduce Physical damage taken by Melia and her allies within the area effect. When the earth element is discharged, the targeted enemy is inflicted with Poison, doing damage every 2 seconds.

Notes[]

  • Damage is calculated based on the weapon's attack and Melia's Ether strength.
  • Poison Earth is a powerful art that can sap away the enemies' HP significantly while drawing minimal aggro. It is even more potent during a Chain Attack with a maximum multiplier.
  • The damage dealt by the Poison DoT effect can increase with Poison Plus gems. The damage of the initial hit is unaffected by Poison Plus gems.
  • Melia's Playing with Poison skill increases the duration of the DoT effect (from 30 seconds to 45 seconds).
  • The Physical Defence Up buff is normally used to reduce physical damage against high level enemies (red level tags and Unique Monsters), which inflict significantly more damage than normal to party members.
  • In Xenoblade Chronicles 3, Melia's imposter can use "Elemental Earth" during her boss battle, while the real Melia cannot.
