The Deciphering Machine (Japanese: 文献解読装置, Bunken Kaidoku Sōchi) is a Timed Quest in Xenoblade Chronicles. It can be received from Ruthan south of the Imperial Palace in Alcamoth, near the pods. If Shulk is in the active party, he will comment.

Objectives

• "Collect 6 pieces of Sturdy Armour from Flavel Andos at Eryth Sea."
• "Return to Ruthan."
