The Unbreakable Sword (Japanese: 金剛不壊之刀, Kongōfue no Katana, The Adamantine Blade) is a Normal Mission in Xenoblade Chronicles X. It can be received from De Zing in the Ma-non Ship of New Los Angeles.

This mission is unusual in that the outcome depends on a choice made after the final objective. If the player chooses to accept the Unbreakable Sword, De Zing returns to the Ma-non Ship and dreams of creating an unbreakable sword large enough to be wielded by Skells; if the player refuses, De Zing keeps the sword and remains at Cauldros's Adder Byroad to train.

   A Route - Accept: Claim the unbreakable sword as your prize.

   B Route - Refuse: Say that De Zing should keep the sword.

Results

A Route: "You recovered the unbreakable sword for De Zing, who then gave you the blade in thanks."

B Route: "You recovered the unbreakable sword for De Zing. No doubt he is off training with it right now."
