I'm tired this evening and not going to do much wiki-wise tonight, but I did want to reply to this thread.
- I'm glad everyone likes the sample I posted. Most of the credit goes to WA and Flanqer.
- Flanqer: the wikicode on the last sample page I posted is based on your page here. I'm guessing you created that page before the xeno tables. I'm also pretty sure I had UBot convert all the actual gem pages to using xeno tables. I would certainly want to use xeno tables in the final implementation.
- There are still some things missing from the design:
- Making the gem stats table the same width as the sources tables.
- Notation of Quest-Exclusive sources and sources with a 0% drop rate.
- Notation of "primary" vs "secondary" sources (see below).
- Putting source types (quests, trade, etc.) in the same order as they are on armour, materials, and weapons pages.
- I'd also like to point out that the Enemy portion of the current source lists on the gem pages are not complete. They are derived from this JCE page, which only lists the best enemy sources.
Primary and secondary
I don't know how to explain this very well in a few words, so I'll use an example. Say I'm looking for Rank III Agility Up crystals. If I try to get them from a Makna Eks, it may take me a while, because Makna Eks' crystal drops are:
Bleed Defence III / Strength Down III
Bleed Defence III / Agility Up III
If I try to get them from a Plasma Deinos, however, I'm likely to get Agility Up crystals much faster because Plasma Deinos' crystal drops are:
Agility Up III / Electric Plus III
Agility Up III / Daze Tension III
That's what I was calling "primary" and "secondary" on the page I made, but the explanation I provided was not very good.
