A Turba

Turbas (Japanese: クレクス, Kurekusu) are flying enemies in Xenoblade Chronicles X. They look like wasps with a stinger at the end of the abdomen and without visible wings. They can be found in Noctilum, Sylvalum, and Cauldros. They are similar to Adseculas and Papils, and share some Arts and material names.

Description

"Small airborne creatures that function as a hive mind under the command of a single queen whose bulbous anatomy prevents her from leaving her underground nest. Any other females are relegated to the mundane tasks of securing food and raising larvae."

"Turbas often steal the eggs of blattas, letting them hatch before rearing them on a highly addictive nectar secreted from the queen's posterior. These young blattas then work tirelessly for the colony, expanding its borders, defending it from harm, and performing general cleaning duties until they ultimately perish from exhaustion."

Color Variants

Turbas fall into two color variants:

• Red turbas are red in coloration. They can drop Turba Nectar.
• Blue turbas are blue in coloration. They can drop Black Turba Nectar.
