The Vasara (Japanese: ヴァサラ, Vasara) is a Main Boss in Xenoblade Chronicles X. It is Ga Jiarg's Skell and is categorized separately from Wrothian Caladars in the Enemy Index, with its own subcategory. It is fought at level 35 on the Shivering Sands in Sylvalum during the final battle of Chapter 9. It is assisted by Deva Caladar, piloted by Ga Buidhe. It can summon four Caladars and become temporarily invincible after losing half of its HP.
Level 40 versions of the Vasara and Deva Caladar can be fought in the Time Attack mission The Wrothian Samurai after completing Chapter 9. Skells cannot be used in this mission.
Description[]
"A Skell created with the unique technology of the Wrothians. Its head resembles a warlord's helm, with long, flowing hair that acts as a cooling system, and a mouth that houses a high-powered beam weapon.
Additional fixed armaments include high-frequency vibrawires in each arm, a dimensional-propulsion device in the hips, and twin beam cannons powerful enough to affect the weather. Ga Jiarg's weapons of choice, however, are the razor-sharp blades mounted on the Vasara's shoulders."

- Vasara shares its name with Perceval's Japanese name. Both have a samurai motif, and were designed by Yasushi Suzuki.
