White Tails (Japanese: ホワイトテール, Howaito Tēru) are collectables in Xenoblade Chronicles. They can be found in the Eryth Sea and Colony 6. According to their description, they are saplings like a white fox's tail and they are used as bedding for small animals. Two are required for the Timed Quest Collection Quest 2 at Alcamoth.

Eryth Sea - the following locations have the highest spawn rate (17%) for White Tails:
- southwest of Hovering Reef 2
- near the teleporter or just before the beginning of the tower's ascent path in Soltnar Seal Island
- the lower level of Soltnar Seal Island on the right side
- upper-left and lower-middle area of Hovering Reef 9
- near the center of Hovering Reef 5
- near the teleporter at the upper part Hovering Reef 8
- near the center of Hovering Reef 6
- near the center of Hovering Reef 4
- at the Showdown Cliff
Colony 6 - Park. Special LV3 and before completing the Mechonis core. The spawn rate is 13%.
