You Will Know Our Names (Japanese: 名を冠する者たち, Na o kansuru mono-tachi, lit. "those who are given a name") is a Field Track in Xenoblade Chronicles and Future Connected, composed and arranged by ACE+. It is track 9 of the fourth disc from the Xenoblade Original Soundtrack, and track 7 on the Xenoblade Chronicles Special Soundtrack.
This music is heard almost solely during Unique Monster battles (with the exception of Frenzied Bana) and will begin playing as soon as the Unique Monster has detected the lead party member.
It also plays during a few boss battles in the game (making it a unique and rare replacement for the ordinary boss battle theme, An Obstacle in Our Path) such as the second battle against Gadolt in Agniratha. Interestingly, in all three such cases, the cutscenes leading into the respective battles (which also have this theme playing) have something to do with powering up a Monado:
- Shulk releases the true power of the Monado right before facing Metal Face atop Prison Island.
- The party agrees to buy Fiora/Meyneth time to power up her Monado so she can break Egil's hold on Gadolt.
- Shulk suddenly appears and returns to the party during the fight against Sureny Telethia on Colony 6.
- Shulk and Fiora, though at this point without any divine help, both power up their respective Monados for the final fight against Disciple Dickson.
The Japanese title seems to reference the Unique Monsters that use this theme, as they have personal names, whereas normal enemies are identified only by their species or Mechon model designation.
In Xenoblade Chronicles 2, after bringing Shulk and Fiora into Alrest, You Will Know Our Names will play instead of You Will Recall Our Names when fighting a Unique Monster if "Special BGM" setting is enabled and either Shulk or Fiora is engaged in the party as a Blade. If Elma is also engaged, then whoever is engaged to the party leader will have their Special BGM play. If neither Shulk nor Fiora nor Elma is engaged to the party leader, but both Elma and either Shulk or Fiora (or both) are engaged to other active Drivers, then a theme will be selected at random between You Will Know Our Names and Uncontrollable.
This song is also one of the tracks from the Xenoblade Chronicles series that appears in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, where it can play during matches on Gaur Plain or the Cloud Sea of Alrest. Additionally, the second half of the riff of You Will Know Our Names is used for Shulk's victory theme. A remix of You Will Know Our Names is also used in the "Xenoblade Chronicles Medley" track.
The Definitive Edition version of this song appears in Tetris 99 as part of the Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition theme, where it plays during the top 10.

Trivia[]
- This track is popularly known as Those Who Bear Their Name, but "bear" appears to be a mistranslation of 冠する, which means to invest with; to entitle; to give (a name to).
- You Will Know Our Names - Finale in Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is the only variant of the You Will Know Our Names that does not play during main story event during its originating game. However, it plays during the battle against Godcleaver Shulk and Stoutheart Rex in Future Redeemed.
- In Future Redeemed, when targeting a Unique Monster, A may say "We will know its name for certain," referencing this song.
